Global and Korean Economic Outlook 2023 "Darkest before the Dawn"

2023 is not going to be a great year for growth. Korea's main trade partners are already in, or going into recession while the region's largest economy, China, is struggling right now.

But, China's Covid-19 wave will pass, inflation is already coming down, and monetary policy, currency and other market strains should ease. Thus, despite an anemic start to 2023, we expect conditions to improve in the second half of the year.
