Climate change has led to a devastating crisis. The World Economic Forum conducts surveys of 1,000 experts and opinion leaders all over the world every year and publishes the annual Global Risks Report. Recent editions of these reports have repeatedly warned us about risks relating to climate change, for example extreme weather conditions, failure to adapt to climate change, and manmade environmental catastrophes.
In particular, the Global Risks Report published in January 2020 mentioned climate change-related factors as top five risks. The greatest threat to humanity in the 2020s is without doubt the climate crisis. Indeed, we are witnessing extreme weather conditions in every corner of the world. According to the United Nations, natural disasters in the past two decades have doubled in number compared to the preceding two decades, which is attributable to climate change.
