To start the year 2025, first session of the ECCK CFO Forum will cover topics for CFOs to prepare and take necessary measures for the year ahead.
Expert on Korea market outlook, EJ Ethan Seo, Head of Global Markets, BNP Paribas Seoul will share his valuable insight on current macro outlook. The session will include updates on market rate, USDKRW forecast, and market growth condition. In detail, views regarding whether strong USD will continue against weaker Korean Won or any recovery momentum in mid-term perspective is expected, overall market rate outlook and possibility for lower local market rates in 2025 and growth condition including export and domestic demand will be provided.
In the second part, Robert Browell, tax partner at PwC and Chairperson of the ECCK Tax Forum will provide an update on the main tax law changes and current tax environment in Korea. As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, it is important to stay informed about recent tax law changes that could impact your business operations in Korea. The session will mainly cover tax law changes which took effect in Korea from 1 January 2025 and other pertinent key tax issues for the CFOs.
