The European Commission in the recent past has come up with certain policy initiatives such as Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDD). In fact, the European Commission has been the leading in setting green and human right standards visibly in the launch of the European Union's Green Deal or the inclusion of the TSD Chapter in Free Trade Agreement. Business which is in full support of those initiatives nevertheless, need to have a reliable and realistic set of targets, targets which are achievable. Luisa Santos will share her insights and views on those initiatives through business eyes.

Luisa Santos is the Deputy Director General at BusinessEurope, responsible for international relations. BusinessEurope, is representing enterprises of all sizes in the European Union (EU) and seven non-EU European countries and is made up of 40 national industry and employers' organizations.
